به دنبال رشد جمعیت، نیاز به غذا در سراسر جهان افزایش یافته است. در این راستا سرمایه گذاری در گلخانه ها به راهکاری جذاب برای تولید محصولات کشاورزی تازه تبدیل می شود. در برخی از نقاط ایران گلخانه ها معمولا در کنار ساختمان های مسکونی در مناطق روستایی قرار می گیرند. هم ساختمان های مسکونی و هم گلخانه ها انرژی الکتریکی و حرارتی مصرف می کنند. در این راستا می توان آنها را در یک هاب انرژی در نظر گرفت که در آن از سیستم های فتوولتائیک (PV) و واحدهای حرارتی و توان ترکیبی (CHP) به عنوان منابع انرژی های الکتریکی و حرارتی استفاده می شود. این هاب انرژی می تواند به شبکه توزیع برای تبادل انرژی متصل شود. برای افزایش سود اقتصادی، ماینرهای ارز دیجیتال را می توان در هاب انرژی ادغام کرد. از منظر انرژی، ماینرهای ارز دیجیتال انرژی الکتریکی مصرف می کنند و گرما تولید می کنند. در این راستا، پیکربندی هاب انرژی پیچیده‌تر می‌شود و به یک مدیریت عملیاتی بهینه و مکانیزم بهبود بهره‌وری انرژی نیاز دارد. برای این منظور، این مقاله یک چارچوب بهینه‌سازی جدید با در نظر گرفتن ذخیره انرژی الکتریکی، جذب CO2 و بازیافت حرارت معدنچی ارائه می‌کند. این هاب انرژی برای یک قطب مسکونی روستایی در منطقه گلزار استان کرمان بررسی شده و نتایج مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفته است.
