در این مقاله، یک کنترل‌کننده بدون سنسور مبتنی‌بر فلتنس با مشاهده‌گر غیرخطی برای کنترل مبدل بوست غیرایده‌آل پیشنهاد شده‌است. تلفات در این مبدل، از طریق منبع ولتاژ سری با ورودی و منبع جریان موازی با خروجی مدل‌سازی شده‌است. با کمک کنترل مبتنی‌بر فلتنس، هر دو پارامتر ولتاژ خروجی و جریان سلف در یک ساختار تک‌حلقه تنظیم شده‌است. اما روش مبتنی‌بر فلتنس به مدل دقیق سیستم وابسته است و برای به‌دست‌آوردن اطلاعات تمام پارامترها نیاز به تعداد سنسور بیشتری دارد. در راستای کاهش سنسور، یک مشاهده‌گر غیرخطی برای تخمین جریان خروجی و ولتاژ ورودی به‌کار گرفته‌شده‌است و سنسورهای مربوط به این دو پارامتر حذف شده‌است. در نتیجه، هزینه، وزن و حجم سیستم، کاهش و قابلیت اطمینان سیستم افزایش می‌یابد. برای اعتبارسنجی روش پیشنهادی، نتایج شبیه‌سازی و کار آزمایشگاهی ارائه و مقاوم‌بودن کنترل‌کننده پیشنهادی در برابر تغییر پارامترها بررسی شده‌است. هم‌چنین، نتیجه شبیه‌سازی کنترل‌کننده پیشنهادی با یک کنترل‌کننده دو حلقه PI و انرژی مقایسه شده‌است.
